Isuzu UK is proudly collaborating with the Bobby Moore Fund for the upcoming Football Shirt Friday on April 26th, aiming to raise awareness and funds to combat bowel cancer. This event marks Isuzu’s second year of partnership and the 11th annual occurrence of this significant charity initiative. Participants are encouraged to showcase their favorite football shirts, share their photos online, and make a £5 donation via the official campaign page at https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/isuzu-fc.

This year’s Football Shirt Friday sees an exceptional lineup of supporters, including current England captain Harry Kane, and former football legends David Seaman, David James, and Izzy Christiansen. Also lending their support are popular YouTubers Danny Aarons and Ellis Platten, comedian Maisie Adams, and ex-sports presenter Liam MacDevitt. Together, they aim to draw attention to the importance of early detection in effectively treating bowel cancer, which remains the fourth most common cancer in the UK.

Isuzu’s initiative, dubbed the Isuzu Football Community (Isuzu FC), not only involves their headquarters but extends throughout their dealer network. Following a successful fundraising effort last year that amassed over £5,000, this year promises even greater engagement with themed activities and materials spread across Isuzu locations.

David Seaman highlighted the critical role of ongoing research in the fight against bowel cancer, comparing it to playing football without a blindfold. The drive to understand and preemptively tackle the disease is central to the campaign’s message.

George Wallis, Head of Marketing at Isuzu UK, expressed pride in supporting the Bobby Moore Fund, emphasizing the alignment of the company’s values with the need to address significant community challenges such as bowel cancer.

Since its establishment in 1993 by Stephanie Moore OBE, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, the fund has raised £30 million and contributed significantly to a 30% reduction in bowel cancer mortality rates. This event underscores the continuing commitment to advancing research and enhancing survival rates through early diagnosis.
