Isuzu UK has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting veterans by partnering with Mission Motorsport, the Forces’ Motorsport Charity, on their recent trip to Germany’s iconic Nürburgring circuit. To ensure the safe transport of vehicles and equipment, Isuzu provided two award-winning D-Max pick-ups – the DL40 and V-Cross – both equipped with a robust 3.5-tonne towing capacity and advanced Trailer Sway Control.
The vehicles were tasked with towing Mission Motorsport’s specially adapted Subaru BRZ race cars, including the Subaru BRZ Rebuild Project – a crash-damaged coupe rebuilt and equipped with hand controls to make it race-ready. For the charity, dependable transport is crucial in delivering life-changing experiences for veterans.
The Nürburgring trip, held at the end of July, is one of the highlights of Mission Motorsport’s calendar. The event offers wounded, injured, and sick service personnel the chance to rediscover the thrill of motorsport, strengthen camaraderie, and build confidence as part of their rehabilitation.

George Wallis, Head of Marketing at Isuzu UK, commented:
“We’re honoured to support Mission Motorsport and their incredible work helping veterans recover and retrain. The Nürburgring trip is an inspiring event, and we’re proud the D-Max pick-ups played a part in ensuring the team’s safe journey.”
Mission Motorsport operates under the guiding principle of “Race, Retrain, Recover,” helping service leavers and their families transition into civilian life through motorsport activities and employment opportunities in the automotive sector. Through its Mission Automotive programme, developed in collaboration with the Royal Foundation, the Ministry of Defence, and the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, the charity has already supported thousands of veterans into new careers.
James Cameron, CEO of Mission Motorsport, added:
“The Nürburgring trip is about far more than racing – it’s about rebuilding confidence, forging friendships, and proving what’s possible. We’re deeply grateful to Isuzu UK for their support, ensuring our cars and team arrived safely and in style.”
