ROME, October 27, 2025 – In a historic ceremony at the General Command of the Carabinieri in Rome, the Italian law enforcement body welcomed two exceptional additions to its fleet: the Maserati MCPURA and the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, both sporting the iconic institutional livery. Designed for the urgent transportation of organs and blood, these high-performance vehicles combine speed, reliability, and technological innovation to support critical medical missions.
The event was attended by General Commander Gen. C.A. Salvatore Luongo, alongside senior officials including Gen. C.A. Andrea Taurelli Salimbeni, Chief of Staff, and Gen. D. Antonio Di Stasio, Head of the IV Department “Logistical Support to the Forces.” Representing Stellantis were CEO Antonio Filosa, Head of Enlarged Europe and European Brands Emanuele Cappellano, Alfa Romeo Brand Manager and Maserati COO Santo Ficili, and Stellantis Italy Managing Director Antonella Bruno.
A Supercar for Life-Saving Missions
The Maserati MCPURA, the first Maserati ever to join the Carabinieri, is a high-performance coupé built in Modena. Equipped with a 630-CV twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine featuring patented pre-chamber technology, a carbon-fiber monocoque, and advanced stability systems, it is engineered for speed and precision under the most demanding conditions. Specially outfitted for medical missions, the MCPURA ensures rapid and secure transport of organs and blood, making it a vital asset in life-saving operations.
Alongside it, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio—produced in Cassino—reinforces a historic partnership that stretches back to the post-war era. Sporting a 520-CV twin-turbo V6 engine, rear-wheel drive, mechanical self-locking differential, and sports suspension, the Giulia Quadrifoglio combines legendary performance with operational reliability. Over decades, models such as the 1900 M “Matta,” the first “Gazzella” sedan, and later iterations of the Giulia have cemented Alfa Romeo’s role in serving the Carabinieri’s emergency response missions.

Excellence Meets Institutional Purpose
General Commander Luongo highlighted the significance of this strategic collaboration: “This alliance represents not only a union of Italian automotive excellence and institutional efficiency, but a shared purpose in service of the community. The operational reliability of these vehicles is a vital tool for saving lives. And when we speak of saving lives, we refer to the highest mission an Institution can pursue, and the noblest service one can offer to their community.”
Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa echoed this sentiment: “We are proud to provide to the Carabinieri two cars that represent the best of Italian technology and design. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Maserati MCPURA are not only symbols of performance and style but concrete tools to ensure speed and safety in missions of vital importance. This collaboration reflects our commitment to combining automotive excellence with social responsibility.”
A Partnership for the Future
The integration of the Maserati MCPURA and Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio into the Carabinieri fleet underscores a growing synergy between Stellantis and the Italian law enforcement body. Beyond public safety and law enforcement, this collaboration exemplifies how high-performance Italian vehicles can serve the community in life-saving capacities, showcasing both innovation and commitment to public service.
With these additions, the Carabinieri reinforce their operational capabilities with cutting-edge technology, while Stellantis continues to demonstrate that Italian automotive craftsmanship is not only about performance and style—but about making a meaningful difference in society.
