Derby, UK — 14 November 2025 — Kia UK has marked a major milestone in its commitment to nurturing automotive talent, hosting the first-ever apprentice graduation ceremony at its Kia Academy in Derby since opening two years ago. The event celebrated the achievements of the Academy’s inaugural cohort, highlighting Kia’s long-term investment in skills, innovation, and sustainability across the UK.
Held at the 40,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art training facility at St. Modwen Park, the ceremony brought together Kia UK leadership, training partners, and graduates for a day of recognition, inspiration, and future-focused dialogue. Each apprentice received a certificate and a commemorative Kia gift in recognition of their hard work and dedication.

The Kia Academy serves as the national hub for Kia technical training, providing apprentices and adult learners with essential STEM skills and advanced knowledge in electrified vehicle systems. The Academy’s Apprenticeship Programme offers pathways across technical, service, and parts disciplines, blending hands-on workshop training with classroom-based learning. Graduates gain experience in diagnostics, electrified vehicle systems, customer service, and dealership operations, all within a supportive, brand-led learning environment.
