Bothaville, 14 May 2025 – Mahindra South Africa has returned to the NAMPO Agricultural Show with its most significant presence to date, staking a bold claim at the heart of the country’s premier farming expo. The Free State town of Bothaville has once again become the epicentre of agricultural innovation, and Mahindra is seizing the moment to reinforce its growing footprint in the local farming and motoring landscape.
For the first time, Mahindra’s display sits within a permanent structure on Mahindra Lane in the main showgrounds—an unmistakable symbol of the brand’s long-term commitment to both NAMPO and the South African agricultural community it has served for over two decades.
A Stand Divided, A Brand United
This year, Mahindra is doubling down on a format that proved successful in 2024, with a dual-zone stand. One half features Mahindra’s robust line-up of Authentic Pik Ups and SUVs—the very models that first earned the trust of South African farmers. The other half is dedicated to the brand’s agricultural equipment, a nod to Mahindra’s global position as the largest tractor manufacturer by volume.
“Mahindra started its journey in South Africa among the farming community, knowing full well that if it could prove its toughness and value for money to this segment, then the rest would follow,” said Rajesh Gupta, CEO of Mahindra South Africa. “Now, 21 years later, we not only sell over 1,000 Pik Ups every month, but we assemble them locally in KwaZulu-Natal—an investment that underscores our ongoing commitment to the country and its people.”
Three Headliners Take Centre Stage
At the heart of the Mahindra display are three headline vehicles—each catering to a different kind of enthusiast but united by Mahindra’s promise of innovation and value:
- XUV 3XO: Fresh from its victory as the Motor Enthusiasts’ Choice at the 2025 South African Car of the Year Awards, this compact SUV will be on full display in multiple trims, highlighting its versatility and growing popularity.
- XUV 700 Black Edition: A striking premium variant featuring blacked-out chrome, leather upholstery, gloss black alloy wheels, and bespoke decals. It’s a compelling proposition for those seeking elevated comfort without sacrificing performance.
- XUV 3XO Thula Sindi Edition: The result of a creative partnership with renowned fashion designer Thula Sindi, this special edition features reworked upholstery, custom interior trims, and bold exterior accents. First shown in concept form at last year’s Mahindra Fusion Fest, it now makes its public debut in refined production form—an elegant collision of automotive engineering and high fashion.

Bringing the Fusion Fest to the Free State
Mahindra isn’t just showcasing cars; it’s also bringing a taste of its celebrated Mahindra Fusion Fest to NAMPO. Known for blending music, fashion, and art, the festival spirit will live on through live performances by artists popular among South Africa’s farming community, including social media phenomenon Klein Kwagga.
Adding to the immersive experience, Mahindra fans can tune into a curated Spotify playlist, compiled from song submissions by Mahindra enthusiasts across the country—a fitting soundtrack for the road-trippers heading to Bothaville.
A Lasting Commitment to South Africa
With a permanent structure now in place, locally assembled vehicles, and an ever-expanding lineup that reflects both heritage and forward-thinking design, Mahindra’s 2025 NAMPO showcase sends a clear message: the brand is here for the long haul.
“We invite all NAMPO visitors to pop in to see what we have on offer,” says Gupta.
Whether you’re a farmer looking for dependable machinery, an SUV enthusiast exploring your next adventure vehicle, or simply a music lover drawn by the Fusion Fest atmosphere, Mahindra’s stand promises an experience as multifaceted and dynamic as South Africa itself.
